Arizona Desert incentive program

Delights for the Five Senses in Phoenix and Scottsdale

In just under two weeks, millions of eyes will be on the Phoenix area, as they play host to the Super Bowl. For many, this desert oasis is not at the top of their travel radar. But we love Phoenix and neighboring Scottsdale for the fine array of interesting activities, luxurious lodging and sublime landscapes it offers for an incentive group program or corporate meeting. Here is just a sampling of how this destination dazzles the senses.

SEE ~ Taliesin West
Famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright chose the temperate climes of Arizona to build his winter home, and it remains in operation as a highly-accredited architectural school today. A tour of this breathtaking site shows the close marriage of Wright’s architectural designs with the nature scapes surrounding them.

HEAR ~ Musical Instrument Museum
A visit to the Musical Instrument Museum is like an auditory trip around the globe; it features more than 6,000 instruments collected from around 200 different countries and territories. Live on-site performances bring the instruments to life, and the hands-on Experience Gallery allows visitors to try their hand at some music-making.

SMELL ~ McDowell Sonoran Preserve
With 130 miles of hiking trails winding through 30,000 acres of land, visitors can fill their lungs with fresh desert air, punctuated by the scents of 2,000 native plants. Keep your eyes peeled and you may spot a resident lizard or rattlesnake, too!

FEEL ~ Spa town
There’s no better way to shake off stress than to step into Arizona’s warmth and comfort. But to help you relax, the Phoenix/Scottsdale area plays host to large number of top-notch spas — in fact, there are more than 50 within Scottsdale alone!

TASTE ~ Cool, creative cuisine
Among some of the pleasant surprises awaiting visitors to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area is the thriving restaurant scene that has developed in recent years. Chefs are updating the southwest and Latin palate of the area by fusing them with flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia, and the Middle Eastern, among other locales.
